Our founding partner, Joe, started his practice in the tax department of the then “Big Eight” accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand and then at the firm of Carles & Carles. Thereafter, Joe established his own firm and celebrated 32 years of private practice before his passing in October of 2022.

Joe had the impressive ability to digest, retain, and recant the Internal Revenue Code as well as to “crunch numbers” all at the top of his head. Joe was known for providing his clients with true intellectual artistry, all without the stuffiness that the title "tax attorney" is normally associated with.  Amy and Mary Kate are grateful to have not only called Joe their mentor, but also their friend, and strive to continue his legacy and serve his clients through the firm that bears his name.
